The Canadian Mortgage & Housing Corp. - Annual Renovation & Housing Survey/Report.
 
Every year CMHC releases The Renovation & Housing Survey/Report - 10 pages of the most up to date, detailed information on Kingston area home owners and their plans to renovate.
 
It's a detailed analysis of renovation activity in our area - right down to the home owners age, income, what they intend to build, and how much they intend to spend.
 
It's the who, what, where, when, and why of renovation activity in the Kingston market. You might say it's the marketing professional's handbook!
 
We take that data and break it down by age groups and income levels and finally percentages and project categories - such as additions, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, windows and doors etc.
 
Then we take that data and overlay the 2011 census data for each of the 40 communities that make up Kingston. Such as: Henderson, Polson Park, Rideau Heights and the Inner Harbour - each of these reports is in turn 4 to 10 pages of detailed housing and demographics information.
 
When we're done we have a crystal clear picture of all the building activity in Kingston. Then we do the same study for South Frontenac and Lennox Addington.
